Nanga
Damai means “home of peace” in the Iban language, and that’s what you
will experience when you stay at Nanga Damai. Enjoy the peace and tranquility
of our comfortable architect designed home, set in an exotic tropical
garden amidst the verdant Sarawak rainforest.
Nanga
Damai is run by me, Polycarp Teo Sebom, so that I can enjoy
sharing my home and its beautiful surroundings with guests from all over
the world.
Nanga Damai is not run primarily as a business, as I only offer six guest
rooms. Rather, it is a family home in a unique setting, made all the more
enjoyable thanks to the pleasure of welcoming guests and enjoying their
company.
I have been opening Nanga Damai to guests since 2000, and in that time I
have made lasting friendships with people from every inhabited continent on
the Earth.
However I am not the only one you will meet at Nanga Damai.
There’s our two helpful housekeepers and also Bella, our friendly and well behaved Borneo hunting dog. (Note: number and names of dogs(s) always subject to change!)
