Nanga Damai means
“home of peace” in the Iban language, and that’s what you
will experience when you stay with us. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of a
luxurious architect designed home set in an exotic tropical garden amidst
the verdant Sarawak rainforest.
Nanga
Damai is run by us, Louise and Polycarp Teo Sebom, so that we can enjoy
sharing our home and its beautiful surroundings with guests from all over
the world.
Nanga Damai is not run primarily as a business, as we only offer six guest
rooms. Rather, it is a family home in a unique setting, made all the more
enjoyable thanks to the pleasure of welcoming guests and enjoying their
company.
We have been opening Nanga Damai to guests since 2000, and in that time we
have made lasting friendships with people from every inhabited continent on
the Earth.
However we are not the only ones you will meet at Nanga Damai.
There’s our charming and ever-helpful housekeeper Lia,
and Oscar and Bingo, our friendly and well behaved dogs (Note: number and names of dogs subject to change!)
